Hi guys! I know it's been a long time (yet again), but life has felt a bit more settled recently and I thought it was time to give (any) readers a quick update on where I am and how TheCloudFactory has been doing!
Last blog post was 3 years ago, and we dropped off at the summer I was moving to London. Well...I did, and it was an amazing two years! I took a bit of a break from The Cloud Factory and got to live out my dreams of living, traveling, and working abroad. London became cemented as my favorite city in the world, but alas, it was not meant to be long-term. I missed my friends and family back home, and unfortunately for my field of work, the job market and career opportunities are just better in the US. So I moved back in May of 2024, bought a little one bedroom apartment in Manhattan, and have been living here since!
What does this mean for The Cloud Factory? Only good things :) While I was in London, my mom was keeping things running behind the scenes from Connecticut (and we thank her for her service). Now that I'm back, we're going to be tag-teaming it - most of the kits are still going to be produced and mailed from Connecticut. Meanwhile, I'll focus more of my time on creating new kits + patterns, and introducing them to the New York craft fair scene!
